Here are some pictures from
Slakker creek site. We are here for the month of June and then we will be returning to the other site (our house) for the rest of July. So for now we have no
internet or real phone....today I'm in
Lethbridge for a Dr. appointment so I thought that I would post some pictures for you. Hope you enjoy
While you look at these pictures you have to keep in mind that whatever is set up is also taken down each year. There is nothing here that is left behind. For example all the kitchen is brought up to
Slakker May long weekend and then taken down Sept. long. As is all other things. The only thing here May long is trees.
Here is Sadie and her friend Jasper.....
poooor Jasper got stepped on by a horse and may have a broken paw.....he still wants to play though as he's still a puppy.

This is where the Old Man begins.....
Slakker Creek.

This is our wood stove where we do a lot of cooking....making coffee and boiling hot water....or just keeping warm

Here is our outdoor kitchen.....so fun!

This is our
hand washing sink area. We do not use this water as any kind of drinking water. The other crazy part of being here is that we have to collect all our grey water. So you brush your teeth and spit into a communal bucket that gets emptied into larger container that may have to get emptied sometime in the summer.

Here is our fire pit area

.....and the fire pit area from further away

This is Bee Hive Mountain....this is the view from our trailer.

This is the trailer that a lady is lending us for the summer. It so far has been nice....can't wait to get some heat though as the night time (and so far most of the days) are cold. I wear about 4 layers during the day and sleep in 2 sleeping bags and then Andrew joins me half way through the night. Although I'm pleased to let you know that Andrew has kept warm so far. It looks like this week though we are getting some heat set up for us...yahoo. Remember there is no electricity so what you see is where we sleep and a little play area. We use the camper for nothing else.

These are the wall tents that the campers sleep in.....the staff tents are the same but in a different area.

This is inside a wall tent, with wood stove. If you keep stoking it throughout the night you apparently stay really warm.

This is a further away picture of our eating area and the red trailer is the cook trailer.

Hope you enjoyed these pictures! It certainly has been fun and more fun to come.
