We're Back!!!

It feels like we've been gone forever. There is so much to update you all on. Our son is growing! There was a small concern about him not gaining weight, but I think he's figured out the idea of getting all the milk he can before he's done and this past week he's gained a good amount of weight...praise God! The newest things that Andrew is doing is cooing and smiling. It's fun to make new noises at him and see some response. It's amazing how much life and personality it gives Andrew when he can now do these things back to you.

Something that most of you know, but not all is that Andrew was born with a club foot. He has an extremely mild case, but it still needs to be treated. Richard and I just spent the past week at Shriners hospital in Spokane learning the physical therapy program. This involves an open plastic cast, taping and stretches. The only thing that we do at home is the taping and stretches....that's why we spent the week there....perfecting it so that we knew how and were confident in how to do it. Andrew has responded really well and is already on his 3rd splint (they make new ones as they progress). Continue to pray for God's protection in Andrew's life, as well as the travels that are ahead. I have to travel to Spokane once a week for a check up as well as the possibility of a new splint. The amount of time doing this is undetermined, but we do have the next month booked with appointments. Our son is going to be a pro at travelling in no time (actually he does amazing already).

We decided to do some prints our Andrew's foot. So we went to this pottery place where we got to paint our own mug and then put Andrew's foot print on it. It will be ready in a week, so I'll show you some pictures next week!
